ABOUT THIS LUNCH & LEARN WORKSHOP:

 

In this session we will cover the payables cycle, use of purchase orders, bills, paying bills by check, credit card, proper set up and use of credit cards, setting up sales tax groups and items, paying sales tax liabilities, adjusting sales tax liabilities, loan manager and much more. We will also cover vendor prepayments, accounts receivable – accounts payable offsets and the use of multiple accounts payable accounts.  We will also review some of the new features of QuickBooks Premier 2012. 

 

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Jeanne Tarazevits, CPA, CITP - Advance Certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor, Owner TaraByte Solutions
Jeanne Tarazevits has been involved with inventory, manufacturing and operational systems for the past 25 years, first as a part-time draftsman while obtaining her accounting degree, then as an auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP and as Executive VP and CFO of Gish Biomedical, Inc., a publically traded medical device manufacturer. At Gish Biomedical, she was in charge of implementing the inventory and management systems still in use today by the company. She was also a key member of the management team which grew the company from $2 million and 33 employees to $25 million and 230 employees, during her tenure.

Cecilia Patterson, CPA - Tax Senior Manager, SingerLewak LLP
Cecilia Patterson has been with the firm for 13 years specializing in Entrepreneurial Business Services. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Accounting, she went to work in private industry for manufacturing and distribution companies. The experience taught her the practical applications of accounting systems and processes enabling her to identify problems within client’s accounting systems and provide suggestions of best practices. As a Senior Tax Manager with SingerLewak, she works with business owners from a variety of industries focusing on strategic tax planning to minimize tax liability for the business and the individual business owners.
