Firm Services

As we head into our 50th year here at SingerLewak, we are proud to reflect on our success, growth and history. We started in 1959, when Phil Singer originally founded the accounting firm, which would later become SINGER LEWAK GREENBAUM & GOLDSTEIN LLP and today, SingerLewak LLP. Phil was working for another CPA firm before starting his own practice. Bernard Lewak, a UCLA student, joined Phil as a part-time employee. Together they worked out of a one-room office in an old stucco building above a client’s grocery store; their furnishings consisted of only one drafting table.

In 1962, Norman L. Greenbaum joined the partnership and his name was added to the firm. As growth continued, Harvey Goldstein, a graduate of California State University Los Angeles, also joined the firm. By mid-1967, Harvey merged his practice with the others and the firm became Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein.

By 1972, Harvey Goldstein had become the Managing Partner. The firm later branched out in 1979 to Orange County where that office was managed by partner David W. Krajanowski. In 2003, Harvey Goldstein became Chairman and was succeeded by David Krajanowski, now currently the Managing Partner of the firm.

50 years later, the firm is comprised of more than 200 professionals, including 33 partners and support staff, with 6 office locations throughout California. SingerLewak provides professional accounting, tax and consulting services to clients through our 5 Practice areas, 5 Business sectors and 8 Industry groups specializations. In 2009, our focus is predicated on years of dedication to, and relationships with our clients, in conjunction with outstanding service and reputation to the professional services community. We look forward to many more years of continued success and growth.
