EXPERIENCE
Bob specializes in strategic technology and digital transformation planning. He and his SL Business Informatics team guide businesses in through multi-disciplined systems-centered projects – involving technology, finance, change management, operations and other skills. The team has extensive experience of a product-agnostic nature in many software categories (ERP, CRM, AMS, others), operations and finance in public, non-public and not-for-profit organizations and industries. Bob also manages SingerLewak’s IT Assurance function, responsible for SOC and SOX audit and consultative work – as well as our outsourced IT leadership and advisory for growing businesses.
Bob’s background enables him to be uniquely qualified to guide the C-Suite and their direct reports on digital transformation and other areas in his purview. His career commenced with earning his CPA certificate during 7 years at Price Waterhouse, followed by serving as a CFO for 6 years — during which he developed his passion for the value of information systems to a growing business.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Bob has earned both the CITP (Certified I.T. Professional) and CGMA certifications from the AICPA, and has was appointed to various nationally-prominent positions at the AICPA – including the IT Executive Committee, Emerging Technologies task force, and the CITP accreditation committee – during which time he authored content and contributed to bodies of knowledge and competency framework efforts around ERP and accounting information systems and IT strategy. He has led many presentations to CFO and Finance professionals – most recently for Oracle, Microsoft and NetSuite leadership – and at the AICPA’s CFO conference and the past two Finance and Controllers conferences. Bob’s articles center around success with digital transformation, ERP, FP&A, Change Management and other topics – and have been published in
Financial Executive (FEI’s national publication),
California CPA,
Accounting Technology and various business and industry journals. In March 2011, as a result of Bob’s efforts to bring Cloud Computing and other IT advisory services into a traditional CPA firm, SingerLewak was the firm profiled for the cover story, “Firm of the Future”, in
Accounting Today Magazine and was later named to that publications “One to Watch” in the “100 Most Influential People to the Accounting Profession”.
