Bob specializes in strategic technology planning and guiding businesses in the selection, implementation and management of ERP, accounting and business management software. Bob oversees practice and service lines that involve outsourced IT leadership and advisory for growing businesses — as well as being responsible for SingerLewak’s IT Audit function. Bob’s background enables him to be uniquely qualified to advise on systems matters to executives of growing companies – ranging from the CEO to the CFO, as well as the CIO. His career commenced with earning his CPA certificate during 7 years at Price Waterhouse, followed by serving as a CFO for 6 years — during which he developed his passion for the value of information systems to a growing business — leading him to become a trusted systems and information management advisor since the late 1990’s.  Recently Bob contributed to the AICPA IMTA Podcast Series 2017: What the CFO Needs To Know About Information Systems.

Bob serves in several capacities with a number of philanthropies in the Los Angeles area.


An experienced discussion and presentation leader in the field of Information Technology strategy, Cloud Computing and ERP software applications, Bob has earned the designation “CITP” (Certified Information Technology Professional) from the American Institute of CPA’s (the AICPA). Bob has been appointed to several AICPA information technology-oriented volunteer executive positions, including the CITP Credential Committee, and he presently serves on the AICPA Information Management and Technology Assurance Division’s Executive Committee and is chair of their Emerging Technologies task force. Most recently, Bob earned the designation CGMA, further demonstrating his management advisory capabilities.  Recently Bob contributed to the AICPA IMTA Podcast Series 2017: What the CFO Needs To Know About Information Systems. Bob has authored many business technology articles geared towards the financial executive that have been published in (among others) Financial Executive (FEI’s national publication), California CPAAccounting Technology and the Orange County and San Fernando Valley Business Journals. In March 2011, as a result of Bob’s efforts to bring Cloud Computing and other IT advisory services into a traditional CPA firm, SingerLewak was the firm profiled for the cover story, “Firm of the Future”, in Accounting Today Magazine. Bob has also led and participated in presentations sponsored by the AICPA, Microsoft, Financial Executives International (FEI), Intacct Corporation, Avectra Software and CalCPA. In September 2011, Bob was honored as “One to Watch” in the “100 Most Influential People to the Accounting Profession for 2012” list, published by Accounting Today Magazine.
