Peter is a Director in SingerLewak’s Specialty Tax Practice in Los Angeles where he focuses primarily on State and Local (SALT) tax matters. He currently serves as co-chair of the PrimeGlobal National SALT group. He also hosts the Westwood (Los Angeles) chapter of The Esquire Network (TEN). Experience Peter has more than 16 years of tax and consulting experience including industry, regional accounting firms, and more than 7 years with Big 4 accounting firms (PwC and Deloitte). His clients range in size from start up companies to Fortune 500 businesses. Peter’s expertise includes state income and franchise tax, state sales and use tax, and state and local audit and appeal matters, as well as state tax due diligence (M&A) matters. Peter received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul Minnesota, a Masters degree in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his J.D. and LL.M (taxation) degrees from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Peter has spoken on several SALT panels and contributed to various educational presentations. He was a member of the William Mitchell Law Review and has published articles on various tax matters in journals such as Tax Advisor.
